Match the CELPIP level reported for each skill to the CLB column. Reading, Listening, Writing, and Speaking can each have different levels, so check the requirement for every skill rather than averaging them.

Lowest skill: Listening and Reading and Writing and Speaking — CLB 7
Typical Express Entry minimums: Federal Skilled Worker uses CLB 7 in all four skills; Canadian Experience Class uses CLB 7 for TEER 0–1 or CLB 5 for TEER 2–3; Federal Skilled Trades uses CLB 5 for speaking/listening and CLB 4 for reading/writing. Always confirm your current program requirements with IRCC.

Why skill-by-skill results matter
Many programs evaluate each language skill separately. A strong Listening result does not automatically offset a weaker Writing or Speaking result if the program requires a minimum in every skill.

- Compare each skill against the program requirement.
- Use practice review to target the lowest skill first.

No. Practice can help you prepare and identify weak areas, but no platform can guarantee a specific CELPIP or CLB result.
