Writing Task 2 guide
A survey task presents two reasonable options and asks you to support one. The challenge is not finding a perfect choice; it is building a coherent position with reasons and examples that remain relevant throughout a timed response.

You select one of two options and write within the word range and timing shown in the task. The response should explain why your choice is preferable for the stated situation, using organized support rather than a list of disconnected opinions.

State your choice and central reason in the introduction. Develop one main reason per body paragraph: explain it, show its impact, and add a concrete example. A brief comparison with the other option can strengthen the argument when it directly supports your choice.
