What the task tests
The prompt provides a person, situation, and goal. It tests whether you can organize advice, use an appropriate supportive tone, develop reasons, and maintain understandable delivery without drifting into a general speech.
Speaking Task 1 guide
This task asks you to advise someone facing a familiar problem or decision. During the preparation and response time shown in the player, you need to choose useful suggestions, explain why they fit, and speak directly to the listener.

Open by acknowledging the problem and stating your main recommendation. Give two or three steps in a sensible order, explaining the likely benefit or consequence of each. Finish with encouragement or the most important action to take first.
